Gaspard Ulliel, Face of Chanel Bleu Fragrance, Dies at 37

The French actor died after a skiing accident.

French actor Gaspard Ulliel has died at the age of 37 after a skiing accident.
 
Ulliel was known for having portrayed the young Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising (2007) and fashion mogul Yves Saint Laurent in the biopic Saint Laurent (2014), and for being the face of the Chanel men’s fragrance Bleu de Chanel.
 
He will next be seen as Midnight Man in the Marvel show Moon Knight with Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke.
 
He was nominated for a César Award (France’s equivalent of an Oscar) in the category of Most Promising actor in 2002 and 2003. In 2004, he won the award for his role in A Very Long Engagement.
 
Ulliel is survived by his 6 year-old son Orso and his girlfriend Gaelle Petri, a French model and singer.
